Malaysia Dodgeball Federation
MDF is the official governing body of dodgeball in the country. It is affiliated and officially recognised by world governing body of dodgeball known as The World Dodgeball Association.
The Malaysia Dodgeball Federation was founded in October 2015 at the District of Shah Alam, Selangor. The Foundation Act was signed by the four founders. The founders at the historical establishment meeting were : Nozieka Faisal@Nojizatul Absul Kadir (President), Lee Chee Chai (Secretary), Muhammad Heidy Mohd Yusoff (Treasurer) and Vernon David Apostol (Assistant Secretary). They run together with three committee members.
The idea of founding the Malaysia Dodgeball Federation began taking shape in Malaysia, the intention of those involved was to develop dodgeball as a high performance sport in Malaysia. MDF is responsible for all regulatory aspects of the sport, organise tournaments nationwide and to send teams and representatives to international tournaments and events.
– 2015 Asia Dodgeball Championships, Melbourne Team Malaysia finished second and therefore qualified for the World Cup 2016, held in Manchester
– 2016 Dodgeball World Cup, Manchester Team Malaysia managed to bring Malaysia to the finals, met the England team and get the second best in the World.
– 2017 Asia Pacific Championships, Kuala Lumpur Team Malaysia had won all 3 categories (Men’s, Women’s, Mixed) and have qualified for the Dodgeball World Cup 2018 in New York City
